The X-bar serves as a bar extension for the U-lock, which is only equipped with the short U-bar. The longer bracket extends the possible uses of your U-lock. The bike frame can be secured to a fixed object or several bike parts can be connected at the same time, e.g. frame and rear wheel.

The X-bracket fits around the seat tube and rear wheel at the same time if the distance between the tube and the inside of the rim is less than 12.8 cm. It is suitable for all standard tyre widths up to 45 mm.

This makes your existing U-lock more versatile in use and gives it additional connection options without having to replace the lock.
Even more bike parts can be secured in combination with the eyelet U-lock cable.
