texlock mate ist eine Zusatzsicherung für Fahrräder mit fest verbautem Rahmenschloss. Während ein Rahmenschloss nur das Rad blockiert, ermöglicht das Einsteckseil das Anschließen an einem festen Objekt und erschwert damit das Wegtragen durch Fahrraddiebe. Gleichzeitig können einzelne Fahrradkomponenten mitgesichert werden.

The universal locking bolt fits all standard frame locks. It is inserted directly - an additional key is not required - and enables quick fastening in everyday use.
(Note: Für das I LOCK IT Rahmenschloss und den Egret E-Scooter gibt es jeweils eine spezielle mate-Ausführung mit dazu passendem Schließbolzen. Diese erhältst du direkt über den jeweiligen Hersteller.)

Compared to classic insert chains, texlock mate is significantly lighter and more flexible. The soft textile construction makes handling easier and reliably protects sensitive surfaces from scratches.

Like all texlock bike locks, mate is also based on the patented HybridSecure™ technology with a hardened steel core inside.

1. Place the insertion cable around the bike frame and a fixed object, e.g. a bike stand or post.
2. Optional: Wrap additional bicycle components (e.g. front or rear wheel) or even bicycles.
3. Pull the locking pin through the eyelet at the other end of the rope.
4. Insert the locking bolt into your open frame lock and close it as usual.

Now your bike is not only locked, but also protected against being carried away by a fixed object.

The second generation mate (texlock 2.0) is based on the HybridSecure™ construction with hardened steel core and multi-layer high-tech fibres.
This combination offers resistance to cutting, sawing and fire attacks and makes it much more difficult to cut through with conventional tools such as bolt cutters.

However, the actual security level depends on the frame lock used.

The mate itself does not have its own certification, as it is an extension for frame locks and not a stand-alone lock.
The certification of your frame lock is decisive.

Compared to conventional plug-in chains or plug-in cables, the mate is significantly lighter and more flexible.
The textile HybridSecure™ construction is soft, moulds to the frame and offers durable paint protection thanks to the strong material composite. In addition, it does not rattle, as is often the case with classic insert chains.
